 1) Chinese Language Teacher

EduGrove is looking for passionate and dedicated Chinese Teachers to join our teaching team. We are especially looking for teachers who possess a fun and bubbly disposition and want to teach Mandarin the fun way! If you love children, have the academic qualifications to teach Mandarin, and can speak and write fluently in English too, then we want you!

 

Responsibilities

– Conduct Mandarin enrichment lessons according the teaching plan provided with enthusiasm.
– Teach using specially designed fun-filled interactive activities, drama, and games to students from Playgroup level to preschoolers, primary and/or secondary school students. 
– Plan, review and evaluate lessons.
– Update and correspond with parents after each class.
– Give regular feedback to parents on students’ learning progress.
– Be sensitive, caring and attentive to students’ needs and well-being.
– Provide clear and confident explanation of programmes and activities to prospective customers.
– Assist the Head of Curriculum in developing the course curriculum.
 

Requirements

– Candidates must possess at least a Degree in Education / Chinese Studies / Chinese Language or other related degrees.
– Must be able to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently.
– Candidates with experience teaching in the primary or secondary levels in  Ministry of Education Schools are preferred.
– Must have a good understanding of MOE’s Chinese Mother Tongue curriculum.
– Must be passionate in learning and teaching.
– Must love working with children.
– Must possess a fun-loving, energetic and bubbly disposition.
– Candidates with experience or training in drama have an added advantage.
– Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, eg. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
– Must be able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays. (5-day work week)
– Must be willing to work in Pasir Ris.

Selected candidates will undergo at least 1 – 6 months of training (depending on level of teaching experience) before being assigned to teach.

 

 2) Centre Manager

If you are a warm, dedicated and self-driven individual who values good customer service, has an excellent command of English, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and is willing to learn and grow with the company, then we want you to be part of our fun-loving and dynamic team!

You will not only be taking charge of the smooth daily operations of an EduGrove Mandarin Enrichment Centre’s branch, being responsible for students enrollment, enquiries follow-up, and students/parents relations, you will also be working closely with the company’s senior management on business development, market analysis, and conceptualising marketing strategies.

 

Responsibilities

– Manage the centre’s daily operations and provide the necessary support and guidance to the programme coordination team
– Motivate and work with the team towards acheiving company’s targets and maintaining brand positioning
– Establish excellent rapport with parents to maintain strong partnership
– Work closely with the Head of Teaching and Curriculum to ensure centre’s resources like classrooms, teaching materials and teachers allocation are optimized
– Responsible for maintaining professional appearance and brand image of centre and staff
– Report directly to the Managing Director on student enrollment and withdrawal analysis
– Attend to walk-in customers and incoming phone/email enquiries
– Provide professional course consultation and excellent customer service to prospective customers
– Work closely with the Head of Curriculum and Programmes on student placements and scheduling of classes
– Communicate and coordinate with customers in ensuring prompt follow-up and closure for all enquiries
– Process student registrations and payments
– Correspond with existing customers through phone, text messages, emails and letters
– Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that centre is well-equipped and maintained
– Perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations
– Ensure the safety and appropriate behaviour of students at the centre
– Help tidy and prepare the classrooms before lessons
 

Requirements

– Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching/Training, Linguistics/Languages, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Mass Communications, Marketing or equivalent
– At least 3 years of working experience in the Tuition/Erichment industry, preferably in a supervisory role
– Must be fluent in English and preferably conversant in Mandarin to handle Chinese-speaking customers
– Good command of written English with a flair for copywriting is an advantage
– Confident and tactful in handling customer’s needs
– Passionate in providing excellent customer service
– Possess good organisational, leadership and communication skills
– Must love children and comfortable working in a child centric environment
– Possess a cheery and pleasant disposition
– Meticulous and systematic with administrative procedures
– Has a keen eye for details
– Excellent team player with a people-oriented personality
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other administrative applications
– Applicants with experience/skills in one or more of the following has an added advantage; MYOB Premier Software, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Graphic Design or Video Editing
– Must be willing to work in Pasir Ris (5 mins walk from MRT)
– Applicants who are able to work on 3 Weekdays 12pm to 9:30pm, Saturdays 8:45am to 7:30pm and Sundays 8:45am to 6:30pm are preferred. (5 day week, 2 fixed weekdays off)  
 
 
 
3) Centre Executive (Customer Care Executive)

Responsibilities
 
– Attend to walk-in customers and incoming phone/email enquiries
– Provide professional course consultation and excellent customer service to prospective customers
– Work closely with the Head of Curriculum and Programmes on student placements and scheduling of classes
– Communicate and coordinate with customers in ensuring prompt follow-up and closure for all enquiries
– Process student registrations and payments
– Correspond with existing customers through phone, text messages, emails and letters
– Assist in the designing and creation of marketing materials and flyers
– Ensure that the information on the company’s website is updated (WordPress training will be provided)
– Create buzz and generate awareness through posts on the company’s Facebook page
– Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers
– Perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations
– Ensure the safety and appropriate behaviour of students at the centre
– Tidy and prepare the classrooms before lessons
 
 
Requirements
 
– Fluent in English and Mandarin to handle English / Chinese-speaking customers
